DULC Cabins

DULC’s architecturally designed self-catering cabins take eco-luxury to a whole new level.

Located in Victoria’s stunning Grampians National Park, the one and two-storey cabins seamlessly blend into the wilderness.

DULC stands for “Down Under Log Cabins”, but its basic name belies the amount of thought and skill poured into the streamlined minimalist cabins that contain every conceivable comfort a traveller could need when retreating to the Grampian’s unspoilt wilderness. There are just three of these seemingly basic structures, carefully designed to blend into the bush. All contain premium bedding and simple yet comfortable seating – ideal at the end of a big day bushwalking. Luxe touches include gas fires, deep spa baths and designer toiletries. Rooms contain plenty of light, with bathing areas often separated from nature by little more than a pane of glass.

The Grampians are wonderfully isolated, so DULC’s cabins provide everything you need to be self-sufficient during your stay. Expect an espresso machine – for your all-important morning latte – as well as stainless steel kitchen appliances to craft your next meal. Turn up the gas log fire when the temperature drops and curl up on the leather couch with a glass of wine from one of the nearby vineyards. After a long day exploring, relax in a warm tub filled with deliciously scented bubbles and watch the natural world go by outside.

Spend your time here outdoors; the attractions of the Grampians are year-round and many are just outside your door. Feel the refreshing spray of Mackenzie Falls in summer, or sample the harvest in fall. Winter invites indulgent meals at the many local award-winning restaurants while spring carpets alpine heaths with brilliant wildflowers. Three kilometres from DULC, the tiny village of Halls Gap is filled with cafes, craft and adventure-based shops. The town is home to countless food and wine events, markets, a large well-established zoo and Brambuk, an excellent Aboriginal cultural centre.
