The Louise

The Louise is all about exquisite accommodation, to-die-for epicurean experiences and the perfect place to begin your explorations of the Barossa Valley.

Cloistered amid gnarled grapevines and revered vineyards, The Louise is a hilltop hideaway with just fifteen softly lit suites containing plenty of private outdoor space to catch the sun’s rays and to appreciate a glowing red sunset.

Each suite is furnished with premium bedding, flat screen TV, generously stocked minibar, deep spa tub and rain shower for two. All open up onto their own balcony, terrace or courtyard, and some even have an outdoor rain shower. Comfortable lounge chairs are ideal for reading whilst a writing desk and Wi-Fi keeps you connected to loved ones at home.

Take advantage of the strong relationships staff have nurtured with surrounding vineyards by indulging in a signature tour. The Barossa Valley is home to over 80 cellar doors and over 50 artisan producers, most of whom aren’t open to the public.

Fill your days visiting boutique winemakers, before a gourmet lunch with paired wines. In the afternoon take a tour of a local distillery or farm tour, tasting some of the finest local produce available. Other exclusive activities offered include cooking classes and breakfast with kangaroos.

No stay is complete without a meal at the highly acclaimed Appellation restaurant. The ever-evolving menu advocates seasonal eating and is tailored nightly to reflect what produce is available from neighbouring farms and orchards. Work it all off afterwards at the 24-hour fitness centre, sauna or swimming laps in the infinity pool. For a relaxing afternoon spend a few hours playing a round or two of boules or try your hand at a game of chess using the giant outdoor board.
