Overview – Pretty Beach House

Perched on an escarpment above a sparkling bay, Pretty Beach House sets a very high benchmark for Australian luxury hotels.

Bouddi National Park is a well-kept secret, just a stone’s throw north of Sydney’s thriving CBD. Protecting the Central Coast’s last vestiges of temperate rainforest, the national park offers a range of attractions from idyllic sandy beaches and meandering coastal walks to ancient Aboriginal rock art.

Nestled amid towering stands of eucalyptus at the park’s southern end, Pretty Beach House is a haven of seclusion overlooking the eponymous beach. Designed with the quintessential Australian beach house in mind, the property’s décor is luxurious but relaxed, featuring natural stone and recycled timbers alongside quality Italian linens and priceless bush-inspired artworks by renowned Australian artists.

Privacy is paramount, with Pretty Beach House offering just four pavilions – each unique, and named for their best feature. Three of the four pavilions boast their own pool, and guests also have use of the main infinity pool that affords breathtaking views of the bay below. Furthermore, guests have access to their own record player and vinyl selection, to create the ideal soundtrack to their holiday.

The property is all-inclusive, so there’s no need to plan your next meal. Simplicity, elegance, service and superb food is evident in every aspect of the culinary delights of Pretty Beach House.

The Main house is designed for relaxation and conviviality where all the senses and sensibilities are inspired from the iconic Australian artworks, to the elegant table settings and stunning views. Guests are invited to help themselves from the fully stocked bar and relax before dinner while taking in the stunning coastal views. Wine lovers will appreciate the well-stocked cellar, with vintages hand-picked by the house Sommelier.

Also included in the tariff are mountain bike hire and lunch or dinner at Bells at Killcare, sister property to Pretty Beach House, a 5 minute drive away. Guests can also experience a welcome indigenous smoking ceremony, which takes place when each new guest arrives. This is certainly a highlight of any stay at Pretty Beach House. Hiking tours of the local territory and nearby rock art can be arranged with a guide. Other Indigenous tours, including wildlife interaction, can be arranged offsite at the nearby Australian Walkabout Park.

Other activities that can be arranged are golf, cooking classes, private boat charters, horse riding and seaplane or helicopter transfers from Sydney Airport/Harbour. For enjoyment at a slower pace, indulge in a relaxing spa treatment at Bouddi Spa or sample rare wines at the cellar.

Treetops Pavilion 95m2
Positioned above the main house, Treetops is the smallest of the four pavilions but by any standards, still a spacious offering. Its travertine bathroom features heated floors and a romantic copper freestanding tub. An outdoor double day bed provides a luxurious place to soak up the sun. Capacity: 2 persons

Bayview Pavilion 110m2
Designed for couples, this sophisticated split-level pavilion boasts commanding vistas of the property and features a generous king bed, wood fireplace, private deck, plunge pool and outdoor day bed. Capacity: 2 persons

Hideaway Pavilion 140m2
Set farthest away from the Main House, Hideaway is the most secluded pavilion. Similar in style to the Bayview, Hideaway is nonetheless larger in size, and boasts both a bigger private pool and a double daybed. The ensuite features a cast iron slipper bath, twin showers and heated flooring. Capacity: 2 persons

The Retreat 160m2
The most spacious of them all, the Retreat is a two-level pavilion, with an upstairs living area to make the most of the views. The single bedroom opens directly out onto the expansive private deck and plunge pool. There are bathrooms on both levels. Capacity: 2 persons
