Days 1/2
Auckland
On arrival in Auckland you will be met and transferred to Hotel DeBrett, one of the city’s oldest hotels. A luxury boutique hotel, the iconic building has been stylishly revamped and features 25 distinctive rooms. Each room is different and offers a chic mix of mid-century modern furniture combined with contemporary comforts. A popular spot for locals and guests alike, the signature restaurant, DeBretts Kitchen specialises in contemporary New Zealand fare. Explore Auckland at your leisure – the city boasts a wealth of exciting attractions such as; the Sky Tower, Waiheke Island home to renowned wineries (40 minutes by ferry) or visit the Auckland War Memorial Museum.
Days 3-6
Bay of Islands
This morning you will be transferred to Auckland Airport for your flight to Keri Keri Airport (flight not included). On arrival you will be transferred by road to the stunning Lodge at Kauri Cliffs, situated on unspoilt coastline overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The postcard perfect setting offers a wide variety of activities to enjoy. Take to the trails and discover over 6,000 acres pristine landscape by mountain bike or on foot. A two-hour walk around the property takes in the lovely Hikurua waterfall, peaceful Waiaua Bay and the beautiful Little Takou Beach. The onsite restaurant serves a selection of fine food using only the freshest produce and chefs can easily accommodate any dietary requirements guests may have. For golf enthusiasts, the Par 72 championship course* is one of the finest in the country.
Days 7-10
Cape Kidnappers
Today, you will be transferred back to Keri Keri Airport for your flight south (not included) to Hawke’s Bay, one of the country’s finest wine regions. Transfer from Napier Airport to The Farm at Cape Kidnappers, approximately 40 minutes by car. Join guides and venture into the surrounding pine forests to see the rare and endangered kiwi on a Kiwi Discover Tour (not included) or visit a Gannet Colony – Cape Kidnappers is home to the largest, most accessible mainland colony in the world (not included). Mountain biking and exploring the many hiking trails on foot are also popular. Alternatively lounge around by the beautiful onsite swimming pool and indulge in superb cuisine.
Day 11
Tour Ends
If time permits, enjoy one last walk around the property before transferring to Napier Airport where your tour ends.
*The golf course at Cape Kidnappers will be closed for maintenance between 25 May to 7 July 2021
