This walking tour commences at the Arkaba Homestead. As the property is remote, it is essential that you are in the local area the night before. It’s possible to arrange flights to Port Augusta with a subsequent road transfer to Arkaba, or simply a private door-to-door transfer from Adelaide/Adelaide airport to the homestead. Contact our consultants for more details.

Adelaide and the Barossa Valley provide excellent bookends to this walking tour, providing an introduction to South Austalia’s urban history and the opportunity to taste world-renowned wines at their source. You could also continue south to vibrant Melbourne; the mountainous, wildlife-rich Grampians provide an excellent stop en route if self-driving.
