Drift House

Located in the heart of picturesque Port Fairy on Victoria’s beautiful south-west coast is Drift House, a thoughtfully-designed boutique hotel.

A historic fishing town lined with 19th century cottages, Port Fairy is a charming seaside destination surrounded by beautiful scenery and filled with little artisanal shops.

Designed by award-winning architects, Drift House is comprised of two renovated neighbouring properties; a double-story Victorian bluestone house and single-story Edwardian villa. All individual in style, the 6 superb suites are a private sanctuary built using innovative materials, salvaged timber and boast beautifully designed fixtures. Each suite has modern ensuite bathrooms, a relaxing lounge area, Wi-Fi access and the Drift house Maxi-bar – a fresh take on the standard mini-bar but filled will gourmet products and local homemade treats at standard retail prices.

The Salon is where a delicious continental breakfast is served each day of poached eggs, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cheese and of course tea and coffee. All ingredients are sourced from local producers with a focus on organic and sustainably farmed ingredients. The property is also home to the fine-dining Fen restaurant, awarded 2 Chef Hats by the Good Food Guide. Guests have the opportunity to enjoy a spectacular degustation created by Head Chef Ryan Sessions. The restaurant is available to book on selected weekends with bookings made well in advance highly recommended.

There is plenty to do in Port Fairy and the surrounding area, from walking the towns streets and coastal paths to visiting nearby towns. There are plenty of walking trails to navigate, superb wineries and fascinating landscapes to explore. Tower Hill Wildlife Reserve is worth exploring before enjoying a wine tasting and nibbles at nearby Basalt Vineyard.
